Germany Move Review

Who this review is for

The Germany Move Review is designed for people roughly three to twelve months from arrival: an employee weighing a contract, a partner joining family, a self-employed person researching a residence route, or parents coordinating school and housing. You may have gathered plenty of information yet remain unsure which task controls the next one.

It is not representation before an authority, a guaranteed visa outcome, tax advice, or completion of forms on your behalf. When your question requires a German immigration lawyer, tax adviser or certified translator, we say so plainly.

Before we meet

After booking, you receive a short questionnaire covering nationality, intended work, household members, target city, planned arrival and current housing position. You may share a list of document names, but please do not email passports, health records or financial account details.

Your consultant reviews the answers and prepares a decision map. Bring your questions, any appointment dates already secured, and the wording of obligations you do not understand.

The 90-minute conversation

We begin with the outcome you need from the move, then work backward from likely official and practical milestones. The discussion can cover:

• the residence path you intend to pursue and where specialist legal confirmation is prudent;
• realistic housing searches, deposits, furnished stays and the landlord confirmation needed for Anmeldung;
• statutory or private health-insurance timing and questions to take to an insurer;
• registration, tax identification, bank access and household broadcasting contributions;
• family arrival order, childcare or school research, and document certification;
• a first-month sequence that respects opening hours, appointments and dependencies.

The session belongs to your circumstances. We do not rush through a standard slide deck.

What you receive

Within two working days, we send a written consultation record: priorities in order, unresolved questions, named authority pages to check, and referrals to regulated professionals where needed. This is a planning record, not an official legal opinion.

Provider, place and practical limits

Sessions are led by a Cologne-based relocation adviser with experience helping international households prepare for municipal registration and settlement. Meet by encrypted video call or at our Cologne office. English is the working language; official German correspondence can be discussed for context but certified translation is separate.

The fee is €220 per household. One reschedule is available with 24 hours’ notice. To proceed, send your preferred dates and the stage of your move. We reply within two working days.
