About the practice
Advice grounded in the ordinary reality of arrival
Meet Service Forgecore, a Cologne relocation consultancy offering attentive English-language planning for moves to Germany.
Why this practice exists
Service Forgecore began in Cologne after years of seeing capable people lose time to the order of German relocation tasks. They had read official pages, but they did not know which decision came first in their household: an address that permitted registration, suitable insurance evidence, a residence appointment, or a school search.
We created a consultation practice around that missing conversation. The work is deliberately personal. One adviser listens, tests assumptions, distinguishes official requirements from practical custom, and records the next actions in plain English.
Your consultant
Mara Vogel, lead relocation adviser, has supported international employees, partners and families settling in North Rhine-Westphalia and preparing moves elsewhere in Germany. Her practice draws on municipal procedures, direct coordination with housing and insurance contacts, and disciplined referral to lawyers, tax advisers and certified translators when a question falls within a regulated field.
The portrait on this page reflects the quiet setting we prefer: papers on the table, time for follow-up questions, and no sales theatre.
Our working principles
Source before hearsay
We trace procedural claims to the relevant authority and note when local practice can differ. A friend’s experience may be useful context, but it is not a rule.
Boundaries protect clients
Relocation guidance is not immigration representation, tax advice or legal interpretation. We explain those boundaries at the start, then help you formulate a better question for the right professional.
A plan must fit a household
A solo employee with temporary accommodation has different dependencies from a family coordinating two arrivals, childcare and shipped belongings. We do not force both into one checklist.
A connection between Cologne and Thailand
We regularly speak with English-speaking clients preparing their move from Thailand. That experience makes us attentive to long-distance housing decisions, document legalization, time-zone-friendly calls and the practical contrast between familiar Thai administrative habits and German municipal processes. We do not claim to represent Thai or German authorities; we help clients prepare to speak with them accurately.
